Abstract

In an ever-changing society, the need for flexibility is most clearly visible in the labour market. The concepts of lifelong learning and lifelong career guidance are coming to the forefront, meaning that the job-seeking process is no longer based on static acquisition of an education and a single career choice, but rather on a dynamic, continuous acquisition of competencies and the adaptation of one's career path to the current demands of the labour market - while of course taking into account individual wishes, abilities, and interests. The University of Ljubljana's Career Centres' role is that of providing counselling, scheduling workshops, and organising various events. The results include those of our students and graduates making first contact with potential employers, acquiring the skills necessary for a successful entry into the labour market, and most importantly, attaining job preservation.
