Abstract

Family is a social group of which we remain a member for a long timne. Moreover, in everyday life and within this particular group most people develop important relationships. In their family individuals take on various social roles i. e. the role of a child, partner, parent, grand parent. It has been found that people need knowledge to face changes within their family and in its environment. In addition to that, they need knowledge to be ready to change. Namely, people wanting to establish a positive partnership, positive relationship with parents and children, those who accept continuos changing, need knowledge to that purpose. Thus education may be an asset to achieve a higher quality of family life. Family is namely not a place wbere one can be selfish. On the contrary, it is a place where one can be himself or herself and a part of a well balanced system.
