Family as a learning experience

Abstract

Basic learning patterns and attitudes towards what is new. can be acquired in a family. Thus, family is important for education. This is so not only because of information and knowledge a child gets within his family, depending of course on the amount of information and knowledge of which his family disposes. This is even more so because of attitudes, habits and views that can be forged and processed within a family. Therefore, with regard to education a family is irreplaceable. Namely, one is not educated if one can recite poems composed by famous Slovenian poets or if one is familiar with physical laws. Besi des atom s and planets an educated man should recognize his own human nature and identify human qualities in others and be able to cultivate respect and love among people.
