Considering Experience in Programming Education of Employees

Abstract

Within programming education, we can take into account the experience of employees in several stages. Firstly, when we define the needs and objectives of education, later on when we prepare a basic education programme for a group, and finally when we select sources and methods of education. Methods of assessing experientially acquired knowledge are different and have to be planned in advance, otherwise this knowledge remains undiscovered. Besides programming of topics which is as a rule goal- and problem-oriented, we are also interested in educational experiences of the participants. When we introouce new approaches of implementing educational programmes (e.g. education, combination of self-study and group meetings, project work and learning, team education, case methods, role playing) we have first to check the experiences of the participants with these new methods. Experiences are a basis of selfconfidence and self-image of an adult, therefore they should be taken into account at programming education of employees.
