The article speaks about the life of a scientist, one of the most influential Slovenian adult teachers, who has offered classification description of pedagogics and adult learning as scientific fields and has equalized their value inside the educational system. Moreover, he has seen the adult learning as a »factor of making the system of education a complete and concluded unit«. The author establishes that dr Pediček was one of the first, who saw a growing significance of adult learning for the modern society with the theorem of permanent education and thus anticipated the phenomenon of lifelong learning.Metrics
