Busoni’s Doktor Faust is a melancholic Trauerspiel that returns to the tradition of Puppenspiele. Busoni’s unfinished score is the result of an inherent creative deadlock rather than an external accident. The ambiguity of the young boy who appears at the end as a reincarnation of Faust’s Wille remains unexplored in Busoni.Downloads
