Abstract

In the eighth book of madrigals, Monteverdi introduced a new style which he calls genere concitato. Some of these compositions are inspired by war. In the depiction of fighting, two opposing pinciples collide: agonal combat and agressive conduct of war.

    Pavel SÝKORA je študiral na Masarykovi univerzi v Brnu (doktoriral je leta 2001). Predava na Konservatoriju v Brnu, na Oddelku za muzikologijo Masarykove univerze (Filozofska fakulteta) in na Janáčkovi Akademiji za glasbo in gledališke umetnosti. Glavno področje njegovega raziskovanja je glasba okoli leta 1600, zlasti dela Claudia Monteverdija in Jacobusa Handla-Gallusa. Piše tudi članke o glasbi Igorja Stravinskega.
