Some Characteristics of Anton Lajovic's Lieder

Abstract

The author deals with the compositional technique in the lieder of Anton Lajovic; touching upon the careful choice of texts she gives a structural analysis of the lieder as regards their melodic, harmonic and rhythmic characteristics. The material leads to the conclusion that Lajovic's lieder were in his time and remain in ours a worthy contribution to Slovene music of the 20th century.
