Modern japanese play noh with a Christian theme: a wink to medieval iberian theater?

Abstract

The author analyzes the noh play fukkatsu no kirisuto (resurrection of Christ), which derives directly from the theme of Christian tradition. It also compares it with other noh plays with the same theme and attempts to clarify some similarities between this form of classical japanese theater and the iberian religious theater in the middle ages (mysteries).
