Así como Jorge Luis Borges creó su personalísima biblioteca en la que decidió conseguir reunir dos aspectos tan aparentemente contradictorios como son lo íntimo y lo universal a partir de una serie de libros heterogéneos, de un modo más o menos parecido apareció la Biblioteca Íntima, colección a la que pertenece el libro que nos ocupa, y desde donde se apela al lector como buscador de lo poético, hecho que en nada resulta difícil al empezar a recorrer las galerías y palacios de la memoria que irán apareciendo a lo largo de los poemas que conforman los hondos y hermosos poemas de El anarquista de las bengalas.
