Como es bien sabido, en español la alternancia básica de género queda establecida por la presencia del morfema -o para el masculino y de -a para el femenino. No obstante, esta correspondencia no siempre se mantiene, lo que ocasiona algunos de los problemas que plantea el tratamiento del género.
