La monografía Lingüística cognitiva y español LE/L2, publicada en la prestigiosa editorial Routledge, supone una importante y necesaria contribución para el estudio de la enseñanza y el aprendizaje del español como lengua extranjera (LE) o segunda lengua (L2). La obra, enmarcada en el ámbito de la lingüística hispánica y la lingüística aplicada, intenta responder a los grandes problemas de la adquisición del español LE desde la perspectiva de la lingüística cognitiva, enfoque preminente dentro del ámbito de la lingüística actual que se ha convertido en referencia para los estudios de adquisición y enseñanza de lenguas extranjeras. Estamos ante una obra de referencia donde los editores (Iraide Ibarretxe-Antuñano, Teresa Cadierno y Alejandro Castañeda Castro) han sido capaces de reunir a expertos de reconocimiento internacional del ámbito de la lingüística cognitiva (entre otros, Jenaro Ortega Olivares, Ricardo Maldonado, José P. Ruiz Campillo, Reyes Llopis- García o Rosana Acquaroni). enseñanza del español
