Abstract

This article deals with new views and requirements faced by students as well as teachers. We tried to encompass the theoretical starting points which represent the foundation for integrating content learning with German. Different forms of foreign language content teaching are presented, with the common designation – CLIL.
We tested our hypothesis: teaching according to CLIL has a positive effect on student motivation. Our focus was on reading motivation. Based on the analysis of data gathered using a questionnaire at three rural Slovenian schoolds we can confirm the hypothesis.
