Abstract

Development of agrometeorology as a branch of meteorology at Biotechnical Faculty at University in Ljubljana is described for the period from the foundation of the Faculty for Agronomy in 1947 to 2004. Meteorology has been viewed as a vital science concerning the study in agronomy. Therefore it has been included in the curriculum from the very beginning. The growth of agrometeorology in various curricula which developed in the sequence of time is presented together with data about scientists working in the field and their research interests and some results, as well.
