Family farm as a special form of farming

The farm is only one form of farming. The farm is representing a base of western European farming. Between European states there are diferences in size structure and socio-economic structure. The number of farms has decreased, the share of part-time farms has increased and the farm population is steadily aging. The future of the farms is not good but this form of farming has a chance to survive. We just have to give them the opportunity.
