Abstract

The paper discusses results of field trials of the effects of four fungicides mancozeb, mancozeb combined with metalaxyl, fosetyl-Al and propamocarb on the aphids (Aphididae). It also presents results of laboratory tests of the effect of the same fungicides except propamocarb and three insecticides (malathion, pirimicarb, heptenophos) on the green peach aphid (Myzus persicae Sulz.). In field trials and in laboratory investigations fosetyl-Al inhibited the reproduction of aphids, while the other three fungicides enhanced their growth. Pirimicarb and heptenophos reduced the aphid population by 100%. While the first malathion treatment reduced aphids, a repeated application enhanced their reproduction.
