PROCEDURE OF NUTRIENTS BALANCING, CONSULTING AND CONTROL OF FERTILIZATION IN SLOVAKIA

Abstract

After the entrance of Slovakia to EU Slovakian farmers have to give soil samples to be analysed each six years, they have to perform fertilisation according to good agricultural practise and calculate nutrients balance according to fertilised quantities of nutrients and quantity of nutrients that was taken away from the field by yields. In the opposite they do not get European subsidies. Nitrogen balance provides insight to the nitrogen balance in the soil and into the fulfilling the ‘Nitrate directive’.
