Issue dedicated to Korean Language, Education, Translation, and Linguistics

Acta Linguistica Asiatica (ALA) is thrilled to announce an issue dedicated to the multidimensional exploration of the Korean language. The edition encompasses Korean language education, translation studies, linguistics, and historical aspects of the Korean language.

ACTA LINGUISTICA ASIATICA is a journal devoted to the study of East Asian languages—among which Chinese, Japanese and Korean are of the main focus—, their translation, and teaching.

ALA is an interdisciplinary scholarly journal that accepts research papers, survey papers, technical notes, and other submissions concerning the following fields:

  • East Asian linguistics,
  • translation studies,
  • the teaching of East Asian languages,
  • book reviews on representative works, etc.

ALA's articles are mainly written in English, Slovene articles with English abstracts are also accepted.

ALA encourages the interlinking of different linguistic disciplines, fosters dialogue among different theoretical orientations and their practical application, proposes new approaches to existing research themes, draws attention to relevant questions, and informs about recent findings and events in the above areas.

ALA used to be published three times a year until 2014. Since then it produces the winter and the summer issue.
