2023/2024 ALA issues – Call for papers
Over the years, the number of scholarly papers that the ALA journal receives every year has affirmed the journal’s position in the field of Asian linguistics. It is precisely the abundance of such papers, out of which we can only publish around 15 per year that encourages us to narrow our scope to those papers that focus mainly on Chinese, Japanese, and Korean (CJK).
For the 2023 and 2024 issues we thus invite professional linguists and language researchers to submit their scholarly papers that, Within the scope of CJK, include but are not limited to:
- applied linguistics;
- corpus linguistics;
- contrastive analysis;
- discourse analysis;
- genre studies;
- language acquisition;
- pragmatics;
- translation studies.
The chosen topic should be specific enough to allow a scientific approach and discussion, as well as provide examples from one of the CJK languages and their varieties. At present we thus do not consider manuscripts that focus on other Asian languages and their varieties.
Editors of the ALA journal invite researchers to submit their research articles, short contributions, review articles, and others, for the 2023 and 2024 winter and summer issues. Topics of the submissions should fit into the following theme.
»TACKLING CHINESE, JAPANESE, AND KOREAN«
ALA accepts new submissions on a continuous basis.
