Povzetek

Študija preučuje vpliv razvoja in antropocentrizma na postkolonialne krajine v Indoneziji, pri čemer uporablja Lemah Tanjung Ratne Indraswari Ibrahim kot primer. Roman raziskuje posledice modernizacije, okoljske degradacije ter izgube zelenih površin, pri čemer poudarja čustveno in kulturno odtujenost od kraja. Zgodba, postavljena v mesto Malang, prikazuje boj za ohranitev vitalne zelene površine sredi kapitalistično usmerjenega urbanega razvoja. S pomočjo postkolonialnega ekokriticizma študija kritizira zahodni razvojni model, ki daje prednost gospodarski rasti pred ekološko trajnostjo in socialno pravičnostjo. Študija raziskuje teme lastništva zemlje, odpora in generacijskih razlik v zaznavanju kraja. Ugotovitve poudarjajo kritiko antropocentričnih stališč romana in zagovarjajo bolj pravičen in trajnosten odnos do zemlje. Študija se zaključi z analizo, kako Lemah Tanjung predstavlja dialektiko med razvojem in ohranjanjem okolja ter ponuja nasprotujoče si poglede na izkoriščanje in zaščito narave.
