Author Guidelines

Submission:  

Format: Papers and reviews should be submitted in both MS Word (*.doc or *.docx)  files.  

Sumbission: The papers without a name should be submitted with the registration on the web site of AShttp://journals.uni-lj.si/as and it should contain a statement that the paper has not been previously published and is not being considered for publication elsewhere. 

Information on authors: The following information should be filled out when registrating on the web page: name of the author(s), academic title or position, institution, mailing address, e-mail address.

Length: Academic papers should be around 10000-12000 words long, reviews up to 3000 words. For longer papers discuss with editor.

Language: Papers should be written in English, or Japanese, Chinese and Korean. All sent papers should be already proof-read.  

Abstract and Summary: Papers should contain an abstract, which shouldnot exceed 250 words in English and Slovene (for foregin authors, the Slovene translation will be added after the acceptance of the paper by the editorial board), followed by approx. 5 keywords in both languages. In the case of language other than English, there should be added a 400 word summary in English.

Reviewing: Papers are double peer-reviewed by experts of the similar academic field and assessed by the journal’s international editorial board.

References:  The referencing system should comply with the Chicago Manual of Style – author-date system. References in themain text should be precise, giving page references where necessary; for example, (Clahsen 1991, 252) or, as in Brown et al. (1991, 252). All referencesin the text should also appear in the References section at the end of the paper List of references should be placed at the end of the written text and arranged in the alphabetical order according to author’s surname. 

Literature in Chinese, Japanese and Korean should follow the above-examples adding the characters and English translation.

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  • If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 11-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
