The September 2022 and January 2023 issues of Asian Studies (i.e., Volume 10, Issue 3, and Volume 11, Issue 1) will address problems and developments in the methodology of (post)comparative approaches in transcultural philosophical dialogues between Asia and Europe. This double special issue is entitled Transcultural (Post)Comparative Philosophy, Part 1 and Part 2, respectively.

The first part, which will appear in the September 2022 issue, focuses on methodological issues and innovative approaches, and seeks to suggest new ways of engaging with transcultural philosophy. Its subtitle will therefore be Methods and Approaches, and it will address the relationship between Asian and global philosophy, issues of language and thought in transcultural perspective, and theories of transcultural and (post)comparative approaches.

The second part, to be published in January 2023, will deal with more concrete examples, contrastively analyzing philosophers, theories, methods, and exchanges between Asian and European philosophical discourse. The tentative subtitle is Philosophical Dialogues between Asia and Europe: from Plotinus to Heidegger and Beyond.

While the CFP for Volume 10, Issue 3 has already been closed, here is the schedule for the publication of the second part of the special issue on Transcultural (Post)Comparative Philosophy:
