There are 49 international scientific journals published at the University of Ljubljana. Almost all journals are Diamond Open Access, meaning that the journals provide immediate open access to their content, on the principle that making research freely available to the public promotes greater global exchange of knowledge. The University of Ljubljana Press coordinates the Open Journal Systems portal, where you can currently find 19 journals.

  • Acta Neophilologica

    ACTA NEOPHILOLOGICA is primarily oriented in promoting scholarly articles on English and American literature, on other literatures written in English as well as on German and Romance literatures.

  • Studies in Adult Education and Learning

    Studies in Adult Education and Learning is an international scientific journal of adult education. It is intended for the publication of original scientific articles (research, discussions, analyses), professional articles, reports, considerations about technical terminology and book reviews, especially in the fields of humanities and social sciences, which deal with different aspects of adult education and related phenomena. The journal also welcomes contributions from other scientific disciplines, perspectives and traditions related to adult education. The journal also publishes research on organized education (education systems, institutions etc.), non-formal education, and all forms of informal learning, and we encourage diversity in theoretical and methodological approaches.

    The journal publishes international scientific and professional articles in Slovenian and English. All articles are peer-reviewed, and the review process is anonymous.

It publishes thoroughly researched and double blind, strictly peer-reviewed academic articles that represent a high level of scholarly excellence.

    The Journal publishes contributions that feature analyses and interpretations of different aspects and phenomena of the social realities in Asian (especially East Asian) societies, with a focus on their specific historical and cultural contexts.

  • Jezik in slovstvo

    Jezik in slovstvo je slovenistična revija, ki že od leta 1955 izpolnjuje svoj temeljni program: ponujati razprave in zapise o slovenskem jeziku in literaturi ter s tem povezani pedagoški teoriji in praksi. It is issued twice a year and publishes scholarly research, translations, didactic contributions, essays, book reviews, and other submissions relevant to the study of classical antiquity and its reception, Latin and Byzantine Middle Ages, Latin humanism, and Modern Greek language and culture.
