It is not easy to be a scribeAbstract
Mycenaean scribes had much opportunity to experience the good and bad sides of clay. It was easy to correct one's own errors, provided one noticed them before the clay dried. Yet if one has other duties to perform - and the scribes had ali too many of them -, errors can occur. In this article, the most common types of scribal errors are examined and possible regularities in their occurence are suggested.
