IzvlečekPrispevek prikazuje izločanje knjižničnega gradiva v tujini kot eno od pomembnih nalog vsake knjižnice. Najprej so predstavljeni primeri izločanja gradiva v preteklosti v knjižnicah v ZDA in Veliki Britaniji, nato je predstavljeno načrtovanje izločanja gradiva in kriteriji izločanja. Izvedba izločanja je opisana s štirimi metodami. Prispevek pa se zaključi z opisom ekipe za izločanje.
