Po preselitvi Centralne tehniške knjižnice (CTK) v prostore prizidka stolpnice TR3 leta 1994 smo večji del naročenih naslovov revij razvrstili na police prostega pristopa ter začeli bolj natančno spremljati njihovo izposojo. Pri naročanju revij smo uvedli kriterij »cene vpogleda« kot glavni odločujoči faktor za vsakoletno obnavljanje naročila posameznega naslova. Revije za področje kemije so od vseh najdražje, zato smo še posebej natančno spremljali izposojo teh revij. Prikazan je razvoj zbirke revij za področje kemije, oblikovane na podlagi tega odločilnega kriterija.
