Il fascino del sardo, questo «Naturpark der Romania», come J. Jud lo defini molti anni or sono, garantisce vivo interesse a qualsiasi pubblicazione che tratti questo membro della famiglia neolatina. Se tali studi sono condotti secondo i metodi attuali, basati su solide inchieste e completati dalla larghezza delle vedute antropologiche, storiche e culturali, il successo non puo mancare. È appunto il giudizio sintetico che a mo' di anticipazione possiamo fomulare sul volume qui recensito. Ne è autore il giovane studioso italiano (di origine catalana) Eduardo Blasco Ferrer, autore di alcuni libri sul sardo e sul catalano, autore anche di una serie di studi e collaboratore al Lexikon der romanistischen Linguistik (per la storia esterna del sardo).
