Dieser Beitrag faßt die Ergebnisse von linguistischen Untersuchungen zusam men, die an 720 Schüleraufsätzen verschiedener siebenter bis neunter Klassen aus 24 verschiedenen Schulen der Bezirke Magdeburg und Halle (DDR) vorgenommen wurden. Obwohl jede Untersuchung dieser Art immer nur auf eine Stichprobe begrenzt sein kann, die im Resultat lediglich Wahrscheinlich keitsaussagen zur Grundgesamtheit gestattet, wurden repräsentative Ergebnisse angestrebt. Deshalb mußte, die Untersuchung von vornherein weniger breit als vielmehr tief angelegt werden; sie wurde hauptsächlich auf den Gebrauch von Substantiven und Adjektiven durch Schüler des 13. bis 15. Lebensjahres beschränkt.
