Moderacijska vloga osebnostne prožnosti v odnosu med stresom in kazalniki duševnih težav in duševnega zdravja

Povzetek

V današnji družbi, ki narekuje hiter tempo življenja in visoko storilnost, je stres neizogiben del vsakdana. V pričujoči raziskavi smo se osredotočili na preučevanje moderatorske vloge osebnostne prožnosti v odnosu med stresom in kazalniki duševnih težav in duševnega zdravja, kot so anksioznost, depresivnost ter emocionalno, psihološko in socialno blagostanje. Raziskava je bila opravljena na starostno heterogenem vzorcu 3048 ljudi, ki je bil z utežmi prilagojen, da reprezentira slovensko populacijo. Pri zbiranju podatkov smo uporabili Lestvico zaznanega stresa (PSS), Connor-Davisonovo lestvico osebnostne prožnosti (CD-RISC10), Vprašalnik o zdravju pacientov – lestvico depresivnosti (PHQ-8), Lestvico generalizirane anksioznosti (GAD-7) in Vprašalnik duševnega zdravja (MHC-SF). Ugotovili smo pomembno vlogo stresa in osebnostne prožnosti kot napovednikov anksioznosti, depresivnosti in emocionalne, psihološke ter socialne komponente blagostanja. Pri tem je stres močneje napovedoval duševne težave, osebnostna prožnost pa duševno zdravje. Osebnostna prožnost je imela pomembno vlogo pri blaženju učinka stresa na duševne težave, ne pa na duševno zdravje. V nasprotju s pričakovanji se je izkazalo tudi, da ima stres pri bolj osebnostno prožnih nekoliko močnejši negativen učinek na socialno blagostanje kot pri manj osebnostno prožnih. Vloga osebnostne prožnosti je torej različna v odnosu do duševnih težav in duševnega zdravja, kar je skladno s Keyesovim dvodimenzionalnim modelom duševnega zdravja. Priložnosti za nadaljnje raziskave vidimo v podrobnejši preučitvi pomena osebnostne prožnosti za raznolike vidike funkcioniranja ob stresu ter v razvoju treningov osebnostne prožnosti za preventivo in soočanje s stresom.
